Traditionally, at the turn of October and November, large companies tend to boast abouttheir financial results for the second quarter of the the new financial year. Take-Two Interactive is no exception in this regard. The full report can be found on this page. Importantly, you will find information regarding the income of the productions you saw on the market. Att one point in the document, Strauss Zelnick gave us a slight hint of what players can expect in the following years.

“Looking at the future, Take-Two Interactive has the most ambitious developing plans in the studio’s history. It will regard both continuations of the biggest hits and brand-new IPs. We actively invest in the east markets, platforms, and business models. We are very well prepared to use the positive trends in the market and generate profits and expansion in a long-term perspective.”

Take-Two Interactive’s Next Moves: Beyond GTA VI

The observers focused primarily on the fragment “continuations of the biggest hits.” The new speculations began about what Zelnick had in mind as the first release. The most probable certainty is another edition of a basketball simulator, NBA 2K, which still provides large profits despite more prominent controversies. Grant Theft Auto VI is almost undisputed regarding the subsequent continuation. The latest leaks suggest that it may debut around the premiere of PlayStation 5, which is announced in 2020. Nonetheless, Rockstar may have several other surprises up in their sleeve. The best proof is the words of the former employee from an Indian charter last month.

When Zelnick said about new installments of their greatest hits, he might have meant another installment of BioShock. There were lots of rumors about that as well. In April last year, we wrote that a small group of employees from 2K Games studio was delegated to work on an early production. We can also expect new Borderlands cycles in the near or distant future. The “third” part sales exceeded all expectations, and it is almost impossible for Gearbox and Take-Two Interactive to abandon the series.

Of course, as it usually happens in such cases, we should remember that these are merely speculations. If they have anything to do with the truth, then we should expect several exciting announcements from Take-Two Interactive and the studios they own in the next several months.
